Don't ask me shit Like how am I doing When you know where we live Nebraska again, no car and no saving Nebraska, this shit is meaningless The politics are fixed, the good life was a lie Can't afford this studio apartment But if we moved to Southern California We would still be less screwed Kicked back under a better moon Yeah cause you will never change You traded it all for small-town fame You said I'm your brother, you bring family shame Almost forgot your name, but not your game Got years and got pounds Got sick of the small towns So bored we started using Friends, we all got friends we're losing Nebraska, this shit is meaningless The politics are fixed, the good life was a lie Can't afford this studio apartment But if we moved to Southern California We would still be less screwed Be back under a better moon I wish we could go there now Cause you will never change You traded it all for small-town fame You said I'm your brother, you bring family shame Almost forgot your name Yeah you will never change Traded it all for small-town fame Said I'm your brother, you bring family shame Almost forgot your name, but not your game I hope you're happy with small-town fame I wish you well, don't need the same.

There is a road to Pasadena And there is a way to where you wanna go Don't you know if you stop looking, honey You'll find something cooking up slow Ah but you don't care for California Ah it beats Nebraska when it's Alaska cold This winter snow, but it's not always greener The fire's much meaner I'm told Nothing but time to lose One more rhyme This is the crime I choose Went for a walk in the shivering sunshine Autumn's hot and springtime's just as bold But I don't fold, I reach for your hand and Found something warmer to hold Nothing at all to prove It's only life and We've got a while to cruise There is a road to Pasadena Yeah, there is a road to Pasadena.

So tired of the ambulance Starts my day off with death Thank God for the evidence Of life I guess You were born on Your own island Washed ashore no Bottled lightning You've got to live for yourself You got to live for yourself Slow poetry afternoon I guess you call this a slump So much to feel and write and do Guess I'll go get drunk It's been years and you should know man Gotta let go Start a new band You've got to play for yourself You got to live for yourself How is the weather Down wherever you are? Try not to think about The times in the car Where I led you on A wild goose chase I never had no direction I never had much taste.

Farewell to the sadness Crystal clear in the dark Where I feel with my madness Un-alone in my heart And if you go, I will follow "If you want," I should say Fast or slow, no tomorrow Riding wheels of yesterday.

Another Side 03:47
A poet writes her lines In a studio apartment She gets up early to get it down But her boyfriend often whines He never knew a word her heart meant He just complains about the way it sounds But his other side wants you His other side needs you It goes "I wanna stay together wrote a poem for you Worse or better" A poet somewhere sighs In a car with her best friend She gets away so she can stretch her mind And boyfriend's getting high Makes a list of ways to make amends He reads her poems a couple times His other side His other side And though Sometimes I wanna be alone You know I can't wait for you to be home Pretty poet, please come back home Please come back home But his other side wants you His other side needs you It goes "I wanna stay together wrote a poem for you Worse or better" My other side Another side.

Last nite I was such a dick And I know I said it once before But I don't wanna be an a-hole anymore Takes a lot of work being a jerk And I just wanna make this work No I never really felt like this before So hey pretty-pretty, I think you're fine And I just wanna make you smile Even if it takes a while, I will Wanna make you feel worthwhile I will make it right I will make it right To you Last nite was an elevator Taking us to every floor But I don't want to take that gamble anymore Takes a little trust with an open head And faith without works is dead No I never really fell like this before So hey pretty-pretty, I think you're fine And I just wanna make you smile Even if it takes a while, I will Wanna make you feel worthwhile I will make it right I will make it right To you.

Garfunkel can't forgive Simon Cause Simon only cares about rhymin' And now the bridge above the trouble they're finding Has been burned - oh the tides they turn Garfunkel can't stomach cryin' Cause in his heart he knows Simon's lyin' And now the only healing sound is the silence Of the words left unheard I know you like I know myself And the road it always winds I owe you like I owe myself Who knows what comes with time If only for the lonely music I could spare a line La la la la La la la la If only for the lonely music I could spare a line La la la la La la la la Garfunkel still thinks of Simon Cause in his heart he knows Simon's tryin' And now the boxer in the ring is just fighting With the floor - cause who's keeping score? Whoa the road it always winds Yeah, Who knows what comes with time If only for the lonely music I could spare a line La la la la La la la la.

Lose Friends 03:20
Lose friends in your twenties If you make it that long Lose friends, you'll lose plenty Some are dead and gone Some just do you wrong If you don't know by now Life was never easy If you don't know by now Let yourself down slowly Everything you love One day pass away But love lasts forever Least that's what they say To the dreamer I don't go to no more funerals When friends I love pass by God knows it's not that personal I'm just avoiding those alive Tryna make a buck on a cut from a past life If you don't know by now Nothing lasts forever If you don't know by now Hold your lover tighter Everything you made Castle in the sand Everything you did Ah did it lend a hand To the dreamer?

Sunrise In my mind's eye, no Life passes me by So it goes But I don't feel alone Living on luck, fresh out of the stuff Leaving that empty glass behind And if it takes me nowhere At least I'll know where I can find A better place to waste time Pain in the worst way Never fades But you try not to die Before your fate Who needs friends anyway? Living on luck, fresh out of the stuff Leaving that empty glass behind And if it takes me nowhere At least I'll know where I can find A better place to waste time.
